Thurston Pre-School was registered as a childcare provider in 2012 and we have come a long way from when we planted our roots! We are excited to have completed a brand new building for 2021 which has seen our capacity grow. We are pleased to be able to provide childcare across two different settings for children aged 3 months to 5 Years old. With the addition of our brand new building, we have also expanded our services to include before, after school, and holiday clubs provisions.
We have an energetic and highly experienced team across both settings who are all committed to providing the best service for all our children and their parents.
What makes us the right choice
We have many different activities available to engage every child and can be child-specific for every different session, all following the current EYFS framework and the Development Matter.
We actively encourage parents to ‘drop in’ to see their children play and have regular open coffee mornings where parents, grandparents, and carers are invited to come and have a play with the children and maybe speak to the staff about their child, or just enjoy watching them play and learn.
We have an enclosed outdoor area equipped with outdoor ride-ons, sandpit, water play, playhouse, digging area, etc where the children can use our equipment in a safe and controlled way whilst interacting with the people and world around them.
We strive to deliver the best childcare and education by ensuring that all our staff has in-depth knowledge and understanding gained through continuing professional development and higher-level qualification training. We continually seek advice and support to develop knowledge, skills, and practice from the County Council, Ofsted, and other educational sources.
We provide healthy and delicious snacks for the children and are aware of any allergies and dietary requirements.
